Every small town thinks it’s the best small town. But Frederick may have the other small towns beat.
Where else can you:
- Immerse yourself in Civil War history
- Wander a creek side park
- Visit a wildlife preserve
- Go pumpkin picking
- Stroll through a history downtown
- AND have a gorgeous wedding?
Frederick has historic sites and scenic views to suit every classy couple. We picked a few of our favorite Frederick wedding venues to share with you, to try to lure you to this pretty town!
Dulany’s Overlook

With two beautiful ceremony sites, Dulany’s Outlook just west of Frederick offers two different takes on the outdoor wedding. Couples can opt for a whimsical forest ceremony among the trees, under a rustic wood arbor. Or say your vows on the sprawling green lawn under a white arbor, next to the property’s rose garden.
Make sure to take plenty of pictures outside the impressive red brick house. Then head over to the restored red barn for dinner and dancing. This barn has a surprise — huge sliding doors on both sides of the open wide to let the breeze in and allow you take in the views.

Ceresville Mansion

If we had to pick one word to describe Ceresville Mansion, it would be elegant. This stately white mansion was built in 1888 as a private residence. But now it’s been opened up to lucky couples looking to say their vows in style.
Get married outside under the mature trees, and enjoy the reception on the covered pavilion. Or hold the reception inside the mansion’s Grand Ballroom.
Sneak away during the evening for pictures under the pergola or in front of the serene reflecting pond. Dreamy.

Morningside Inn

Sitting on 300 acres east of Frederick, Morningside Inn is a serene, countryside wedding venue complete with all the nature you could want. Rolling fields, surrounding woodlands, and three ponds on the property make this little “inn” feel more like a luxe country club.
Ceremonies can be held outdoors on the red brick patio, or inside the reception room with views of the country. Dinner is served in a cozy dining room with wood floors and soaring beams. And after, the party will move downstairs to the reception room for dancing and fun.

Springfield Manor

Located just 15 minutes outside Frederick, Springfield Manor’s rolling hills make a beautiful wedding backdrop. It’s even better if you’re lucky enough to get married during lavender season!
In addition to a wedding venue, Springfield Manor is also a working winery, distillery, and brewery. And while you don’t have to source your alcohol from them...why wouldn’t you?
Celebrate your wedding with a reception inside the rustic barn, or in the ballroom with seating for up to 300 guests. With an inn on site as an accommodation option for the couple and the wedding party, this venue is as convenient as it is beautiful.
