William and Tricia’s June wedding was at one of our favorite seaside venues, the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville, Maryland. We never get tired of their classy ballrooms and stunning views of the Chesapeake Bay and Bay Bridge!

Bekah of Evergreen Photo brought her “experiences over poses” philosophy to the photography. She focuses on personal, intimate moments, rather than a strict shot list. It really comes through in the personality she is able to bring to each couples’ wedding and elopement photos!

William and Tricia’s wedding ceremony at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club took place in the enclosed rooftop deck of the Sunset Ballroom. We love this location for its huge, full-height windows that bring nature inside, while still protecting the party from winds off the bay.

For ceremony music, the couple chose one of the absolute masters of piano composition Claude Debussy. The grandparents and bridal party entered to his Suite Bergamasque. L. 75: III. Clare de Lune. Then Tricia made her entrance to Debussy’s Arabesque No. 1. These are two stunning pieces of piano music, and ones we’d never played at a wedding before! Kent Island wedding DJ Steve always likes when he gets to play something unique.

After the couple said their vows and enjoyed their first smooch, they switched up the mood with Bruno Mars’ Marry You for their recessional. The guests then headed over to the open rooftop above the Tavern Ballroom for cocktail hour. They sipped their drinks to more piano music while taking in views of the Chesapeake Bay and Bay Bridge.

When it came time for the reception, the party had a short commute—just down the stairs into the Tavern Ballroom. We love this space for its warm, vaulted wood ceilings, big windows, and handsome wood bar. The wedding party’s entrance was to the tune of Touch the Sky by Kanye West. Then the newly-wedded couple made their entrance as husband and wife accompanied by Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1, also by Kanye.

The happy pair’s first dance was to John Mayer’s cover of Beyoncé’s XO. Then Tricia and her dad, and William and his mom danced to Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers.

After dinner, the couple included lots of wedding traditions at their reception! They did the classic bouquet toss, accompanied by Wannabe by The Spice Girls. For the garter removal, they played Tunnel Vision by Justin Timberlake. Cheeky! And for the toss, they went with Death of a Bachelor by Panic! at the Disco, which has a real old-school crooner vibe. Love it. Finally, they did an anniversary dance for all the married couples to Perfect Duet by Ed Sheerhan and Beyoncé.

Towards the end of the night, DJ Steve created one of the evening’s highlights. He did a mix of  Ni**as in Paris by Jay-Z and Kanye West with Sugar We’re Going Down by Fall Out Boy and it was LIT. The whole dance floor loved it, especially the bride!

The last song of the night was XO by Beyoncé, as a great throwback to the couple’s first dance earlier in the night. We had such a great time at William and Tricia’s gorgeous wedding on Kent Island—one of our favorite places to celebrate.
