Cito and Kelly’s Washington D.C. wedding was the type of elegant, classy affair you’d expect in our nation’s capital — until the lights went low. Then it was an all out bacchanal in honor of the happy couple!

The wedding took place on the Potomac View Terrace at the American Pharmacists Association headquarters. A medical HQ may not seem like an appropriate place for a wedding. But these pharmacists knew what they were doing when they chose this site back in the 1930s. As the only private venue on the National Mall, Potomac View Terrace’s 6th floor vantage point has stunning views of the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, U.S. Capitol, and Potomac River.

Back on the ground, the bride and her father ascended the ceremony site steps to the tune of Speechless by Dan + Shay ft. Tori Kelly. The stunning white neoclassical facade and stately iron doors make a one-of-a-kind ceremony site that reminds visitors of D.C.’s Grecian-inspired architectural roots.

After the ceremony, the whole wedding party headed up to the sixth floor. The terrace has a roof to provide shelter from the sun or rain. Plus, it has three open sides to let a breeze flow through while everyone takes in the views of the National Mall.

Petal’s Edge Floral Design provided flowers for the event, including table decor, boutonnieres, and the bridal bouquet. Arrangements in soft blue, ivory, and blue-green eucalyptus dotted every table. And Maryland’s DJ provided blue uplighting throughout the space to keep with the color scheme.

Since this wedding took place on September 21st, the couple had to enter to Earth, Wind, and Fire’s "September." If you’re not familiar, the song starts with, “Do you remember the 21st night of September?” We’re pretty sure Cito and Kelly will remember the 21st night of September for the rest of their lives!

Amazing husband-and-wife shutterbug duo, Cicely and Jason Procopio of Procopio Photography, captured the ceremony and reception. The pair caught plenty of still life shots to memorialize the details, plus candids to memorialize all the fun and love on display.

After dinner and toasts, the couple enjoyed their first dance to “Lover” by Taylor Swift. Then Kelly and her father danced to "Forever Now" by Michael Bublé. (By the way, if you’re not familiar with that song, click the link to watch the video and try not to cry. I dare you!) Cito and his mother then danced to an acoustic version of “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack.

After that, there was dancing, cake cutting, more dancing, and this. I told you it got rowdy — this crew came to party!

We loved creating a soundtrack for this bash. The couple and their guests rocked the dance floor all night long, looking out on the city below!
