Jutting out between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic, Maryland’s Eastern Shore is the ideal spot for a quintessential East Coast wedding.
Venues take advantage of waterfront real estate and warm summers by highlighting their outdoor space. Even if a ballroom is an option, why would you want to shuttle your guests inside with so much beauty around you?
We chose five of our favorite Eastern Shore wedding venues to give you a taste of this gorgeous area. Enjoy!
Tidewater Inn

Calling this stately stone building an “inn” doesn’t quite do it justice. With 92 guest rooms in this downtown Easton venue, the wedding party and most of the guests may be able to stay right on site!
Lush intimate gardens are the perfect place for the happy couple to sneak away for some photos, and the brick patio with climbing roses makes a charming ceremony site.
Your guests will also love exploring Easton. As the “Cultural Capital of the Eastern Shore,” this lovely town has art galleries, studios, and upscale boutique shopping all within walking distance of the Tidewater Inn.

Sunset Marina

On the eastern edge of the Eastern Shore, Sunset Marina in Ocean City is the place to go for that coastal feel and stunning sunsets.
This is a functioning marina, with dock upon dock full of boats of every size. After a ceremony offsite, head to the marina for photos with the whole wedding party in front of boats and the pink sky.
For the reception, the Sunset Grille on the marina serves fresh seafood and has waterfront views.

Inn at Perry Cabin

Another luxurious space with an unassuming name, The Inn at Perry Cabin is a fully decked out resort, complete with spa, golf course, tennis courts, and boating.
There are three primary wedding locations at this St. Michaels venue. Couples can say their vows on the waterfront, in the mature floral gardens, or in the Commodore ballroom. Receptions can continue outdoors or in. And with 26 acres of property at your disposal, there’s plenty of space for every aspect of your wedding day.
They even have a 55 foot yacht if you prefer to hold your wedding on the sea!

The Oaks is a dreamy escape in St. Michaels, Maryland. Located in front of the serene Oak Creek, this Eastern Shore wedding venue is reserved entirely for the wedding party. No strangers will be stumbling into your celebration!
After a creekside ceremony on the lawn or the covered dock, guests will return to the inn’s Grand Ballroom for dinner catered by The Oaks. And after the festivities are over, the wedding party can relax in 14 beautifully furnished rooms right there at the Inn.

Osprey Point Inn

Osprey Point Inn in Rock Hall combines rustic charm with modern elegance. With accommodations in three different historic buildings, there’s room here for friends and family alike.
Ceremonies can be held in the white gazebo, or on the waterfront lawn. For the reception, a 3-point tent will keep your guests sheltered from sun or drizzle. Smaller weddings can be held in the onsite restaurant as well.
Take photos on the dock jutting into the Chesapeake Bay, or in front of the barn painted with a huge American flag.
