If you’re looking for a DJ who can be your hype man and has tons of experience, DJ Mike “Q” Stock is your guy.

DJ Q is an Annapolis native with deep roots in Maryland. Not only was he born and raised here, but he’s keenly invested in Baltimore, as we’ll see!

Q has two long-time loves: DJing at clubs and private events, and graphic design. He’s lucky enough to get to do both! He studied graphic design in school, and spends his days doing design work for the Housing Authority of Baltimore City.

But he’s also got some serious DJ chops. He’s been working in the industry since 1990, playing in bars and nightclubs all over Baltimore, Annapolis, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. He’s even held summer residencies in Las Vegas, as well as at waterfront bar and nightclub behemoth Seacrets in Ocean City. He recently joined the Maryland’s DJ team and we’re hyped to have him!

Speaking of hype...DJ Q knows how to bring it. Who is the absolute best at hyping up a crowd? Could it be...mascots? Well our Q has experience in that line. He brought the Baltimore Ravens mascot, Poe, to life, for the 2009-2010 season. He got the crowd worked up and incited general game day shenanigans, as any respectable mascot must.

When he’s not DJing or doing design work, he hangs out with his extremely intimidating scooter gang. Just kidding. About the intimidating part, not the scooter gang part. Q and his friends like to hop on Spin or Lime scooters and spend a few hours cruising the city they call home.

We asked Q to chat with us to share his thoughts on DJing and weddings so we could get to know him a little better. Take it away, Q!
